HS 22 Target Pistol Magazine Adjustment Tool - CT Design
PLEASE NOTE: The .230" dimension is fairly constant for all ammunition. The .185" dimension should be increased if the bullets are feeding too low, and it should be decreased if the bullets are feeding too high. This adjustment can be accomplished with tools like needle nose pliers, but you should use extreme care in doing so. The magazine lips are heat-treated and will break if they are bent too much at one time. Magazine feed lips may drag on slide feed rail if decreased in width too much.
Also, due to the overall length of some 22LR match ammunition, it will be impossible to feed ten rounds properly.
My Trophy Military is a Hamden gun serial 2090Xxxx dating to 1969 and had been nothing short of a gem all these years. Gun came with 2 mags with plastic bases worked perfectly, bought adfl mad around 1974 which was a Hartford one, metal base, worked fine too. Later on I got two more from HS direct and they were just OK. Recently bought two more from Triple K Mfg and as .22 ammo has declined in quality these last 5 years, none of my mags was reliable, all feeding too high. Bought the tool, polished inside of lips with Dremel and buffer wheel using Flitz, then tuned mags (ALL rear lips needed tightening) and tuned to CCI STD VEL ammo. Now all work fine. BUY YHE TOOL!!!!!
